Send or receive packages where you shop? Simple, when two of the largest companies join forces to provide a postal package service in a completely new way.

Pakkeboksen was a very simple idea allowing shoppers to send parcels in the post or to pick up products ordered online while out shopping in Cooperative Society (Coop) shops. This new service would make life easier for consumers and reduce the administrative burden on Post Danmark (the country’s postal service).

But how to make the public aware of the service?

The assignment

Post Danmark's website was already bloated with information, and now they needed to incorporate a whole new concept that merged mail and grocery shopping. Communication would also have to be clear and sharp enough to prevent customers having to ask retail staff for help in using the new service.

Our approach

With such a complicated message and so many stakeholders in the target group, we decided that the new service’s digital home needed to reside beyond Post Danmark’s busy website - on a clean, calm dedicated Pakkeboksen website jointly owned by both Post Denmark and Coop.

We created the digital foundation of a nationwide awareness campaign in partnership with traditional ad agency Republica. With a focus on easy registration, simple information and a high level of service, the Pakkeboksen website offered clear calls to action supported by two key services – package tracking and an interactive map of Pakkeboksen locations across Denmark.
